Irix, a high-class lens producer for movie and photo industry enriches its Cine line. The release of 3 new sets of Irix Cine lenses allows filmmakers to easily adapt the gear needed for any commercial work.
Content of the sets allows You to make any type of work from establishing shots to extreme close-ups. All lenses are dedicated to people starting their adventure with professional filming and professionals requiring the highest quality.
Lens choices for the sets were dictated by the desire to create conditions for filmmakers to focus their efforts on the implementation of the material, not on the search for optics that will meet the requirements of all of the tasks. All sets have lenses in the Irix Cine standard, which allows for the same effect throughout the range. They have unique bokeh but also they preserve colors and details to simplify work in post-production and give a unique character to the created material.
All the lenses have a unified design of the aperture and focusing rings, as well as similar weight and size. Quick lens replacement without a rebalancing of the Steadicam or gimbal will allow You to quickly adapt to the current requirements of the filmed scene.
When in need to add filters, most lenses come with 86mm filter thread and 95mm front diameter. The sets include three basic filters that allow You to film in all conditions. All Irix lenses have the Magnetic Mount System (MMS), which allows for quick replacement during filming: Irix Edge UV Filter – performs a protective function, Irix Edge CPL Filter – allows You to control light reflections, and Irix Edge Filter ND8 – removes 1/8 of the light reaching the sensor. Each of the filters is equipped with Magnetic Mount System for quick workflow and Super Resistant (SR) rated to protect your lens – being scratch-resistant. All filters are stored in an Irix Edge case. Irix also offers other filters that match the lenses from the sets – these can be ordered separately.
The sets are characterized by the ability to work in all weather conditions, the lenses have special sealings to protect them from dust, sand, or water. Everything is packed in the Nanuk 918 case, which is MIL-SPEC certified, confirmed waterproof (IPX7), and dustproof (IP6X). The inserts were custom made so the lenses will fit perfectly and are safe during transportation.
Irix Cine Sets cases are available in 3 kinds:
Irix Cine Entry Set – T1.5 set. It will allow you to start shooting ASAP. Three most common focal lengths, that will perform great both on full-frame sensors as well as a crop like Super35. Set contains:
