What are the Black Mist filters?

Black Mist filters work by diffusing light and lowering the contrast, without excessive interference with the darker parts of the image. This creates a characteristic effect. They create a subtle halo around light sources such as lamps or the sun. This effect is achieved thanks to the special construction of the filter, which effectively diffuses the light while maintaining the sharpness of the image.

The use of the highest quality optical glass, additionally covered with 18 anti-reflective coatings on each side, allows you to maintain the highest possible image quality. At the same time, the glass tempering technology (SR) makes it extremely resistant to damage. The additional waterproof and oil-resistant NANO coating prevents stains, and fingerprints and allows use in extreme weather conditions.

Ultra-thin filter profile

Low-profile frames and specially designed edges provide very good grip and functionality with an aesthetic appearance that harmonizes with all Irix products. Of course, filters can also be used with lenses from other brands.

Thanks to a special choice of tough glass, the filter is designed to survive any conditions you will throw at it, and at the same time protect your precious lens. The Irix Edge SR series is designed to repel oil and it is immune to scratches or dust.
