Range of Irix Edge series of screw-in filters now extended

The TH Swiss company would like to announce the expansion of its range of Irix Edge screw-in filters. These now consist of varying thread sizes: 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77 and 82mm. These filters are also compatible with other brands of photographic lenses. Irix offers new screw-in filters of UV & Protector, Circular Polarizer and ND filters, along with various densities. The aesthetic design of these Edge filters is in harmony with all Irix products. TH Swiss is now commencing shipping of the first deliveries of these new products to Irix dealers.
Perfect protection and high light transmission in Irix Edge UV & Protector filtersThis ultra-slim UV filter offers extraordinary light transmission thanks to the high quality optical glass and multi-layer antireflective coating. Its additional waterproof NANO coating helps keep the glass surface free of stains and water droplets.
Irix UV filters also provides decent protection of the front lens under extreme circumstances. It's low-profile frame and knurled edges provide very good grip, with the additional waterproof coating helping to keep the glass surface free of water droplets under wet conditions.
Reducing the reflections with Irix Edge Circular Polarizer filters
The Irix Edge Circular Polarizer (CPL) filter reduces reflections from non-metallic surfaces, emphasizes detail and increases the colour density of the pictures. The glass surfaces of the Irix polarizer are covered by a multi-coated antireflection layer that keeps the image clear and full of natural colour.
Diversion of long exposure photography thanks to Irix Edge Neutral Density filters
Irix Edge Neutral Density filters (ND) are an essential tool for long exposure photography and depth of field’s manipulation. They reduce the light that is passing through the lens by 3-stops (3EV [Exposure Value]), 5-stops (5EV), 7-stops (7EV) or 10-stops (10EV) and help create astonishing and surreal images. The additional waterproof and oil repellent NANO coating protection from stains and fingerprints, and enables the camera’s use in extreme weather conditions.
